The role of peptides

The peptide in the REDACTIV® formula

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that can act as biological signals and influence processes occurring within and around the hair follicle.

Depending on their structure, peptides may help support dermal papilla cells, the extracellular matrix, the follicular microenvironment and the signalling processes involved in regulating the hair-growth cycle.

This is particularly important because a hair follicle is not simply a “hair root.” It is a complex biological system in which continuous communication between cells influences the hair’s progression through the different stages of its growth cycle.

The peptide in the REDACTIV® formula

REDACTIV® contains Biotinyl-GHK, a biotinylated peptide included as part of its multi-ingredient active system.

Its role is to complement the formula’s broader action on the hair-follicle microenvironment and the structures involved in normal follicle function.

Why does this matter?

Peptides make it possible to address not only the external condition of the hair, but also biological processes within the follicle itself.

This is why the peptide in REDACTIV® complements plant-derived antioxidants, ingredients associated with the DHT pathway and other active substances, creating a multi-pathway approach to supporting hair growth.
