Why does hair lose density?

Each hair follows a natural cycle consisting of several stages: growth, rest and renewal. Under normal conditions, these processes remain balanced, but various factors can disrupt the cycle.

Stress, hormonal changes, recent illness, chemotherapy, age-related changes and genetic predisposition can affect hair quality and density. As a result, hair may become finer and weaker and gradually lose volume.

A modern approach to hair health considers not only the condition of the hair follicle itself, but also the quality of its surrounding environment. The scalp, microcirculation and the follicle’s cellular environment play an important role in supporting the natural hair-growth cycle.

This is why increasing attention is being paid to supporting the follicular environment—the combination of factors that influences hair quality, density and appearance.

Maintaining a healthy scalp, following a balanced diet, using gentle care and supporting a favourable follicular environment can help create the conditions needed to preserve hair quality throughout life.
